About Chrissy Smith
Mrs. Smith earned her undergraduate degree in Child Development/Child Life from Appalachian State University in 2008 and subsequently received her law degree from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University in 2012. Mrs. Smith grew up in Lexington, North Carolina and has practiced in Wayne County, NC since graduating from law school.
During her time at Campbell Law Mrs. Smith served as a peer mentor for fellow law students, a mediator for the Juvenile Justice Project and was an organizer for the 2011 National Conference on Restorative Justice. She also served as a student representative for Westlaw, assisting students and faculty with legal research, and was the tort law research assistant for Professor Johnnie Chriscoe. Additionally, Ms. Smith participated in the Richard A. Lord Moot Court Competition. She also received academic honors in Client Counseling and received book awards in Family Law Planning and Law and Public Policy.
Mrs. Smith currently serves on the executive board for the Wayne County Bar Association and is a member of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. She is a committee member supporting Wayne Education Network through the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Smith is also a member of the Goldsboro Junior Woman’s Club which actively supports the community through various community service projects, most recently supporting Wayne Domestic Violence Shelter, Habitat for Humanity, Red Cross, Boys and Girls Club of Wayne County, partnering with the Arts Council to host the Student Arts Festival, the Shoe Fund, and supporting many local families.
When not practicing law, Mrs. Smith is involved in numerous volunteer activities, most recently including Call 4 All through the North Carolina State Bar and coaching a Teachers and Attorneys Partnership for Success (TAPS) mock trial team. She also loves to travel, cook, and spend time with family and friends.
